Daffodil = Narcissus

To solve the problem of daffodils falling over, plant them under low-growing shrubs so they get support from the branches. This also protects the bulbs from being dug up, the shoots from being trodden on and keeps the leaves tidy while they die down. (Under a large shrub would be too dry). Tying up or cutting off the leaves cuts off its food supply for next year's flowers. If you can't decide which varieties to plant, no need to go without any of them – get a big mixed bag and you will end up with everything!
